Qbit editor overview
A tour of the canvas, element list, and style controls.
The Qbit editor is where you build the page a code opens. This tour covers the layout so everything else in this section makes sense.
Creating a page
- Go to Qbits and click Create a Qbit.
- Start from scratch or Start from a template, then pick a look. The phone on the right shows the page as you choose.
- On the Details step, name the Qbit, choose its URL, and decide about its QR code: none for now, a new one you design right there, or an existing code pointed at this page.
- Click Create Qbit and you land in the editor.

The editor at a glance
- Top: the page title. Click the pencil to rename the page. Beside it, a badge shows whether the page is Published, has Unpublished changes, or is still a Draft. Share and Preview (opens the draft full-screen in a new tab) sit on the right.
- Left: your blocks. The page's blocks as a list of cards - add, edit, hide, and drag to reorder. Click a card to open its settings in a panel beside the list.
- Right: the live preview. A phone showing the page as visitors will see it, updated as you edit. Click a block in the phone to select it.
- Above the preview: Undo and Redo, the save indicator, the More actions menu (⋯), and Publish.
The four tabs
- Content - the blocks on your page. Where you'll spend most of your time. See Working with blocks.
- Appearance - the page's theme, colors, fonts, and block styles. See Styling and themes.
- QR Codes - the codes pointing at this page.
- Settings - the page URL, social preview, tags, copy, and delete.
Two things to internalize early
- Everything autosaves. There's no save button - edits are stored a couple of seconds after you stop typing, and the save indicator confirms it.
- Saving isn't publishing. Your edits live in a draft until you click Publish - the live page never changes mid-edit. See Drafts, previewing, and publishing.
